    Working in Australia after your studies.

    If you hold a student visa (subclass 500), you are permitted to work while studying in Melbourne. As an international student with permission to work, you can work up to 48 hours per fortnight.

    If you are planning to work while studying, you will need to apply for a Tax File Number (TFN), unique numeric identifier given to anyone who will pay tax in Australia.
